This thematic Workshop of the Community for European Research and Innovation for Security (CERIS) aims at presenting and discussing European research and innovative solutions relevant for countering trafficking and illicit trade in cultural goods across the European Union borders. The audience includes security practitioners, customs and law enforcement authorities, innovators, operators in the cultural goods markets, and national and EU policy makers. The Workshop will showcase updates and EU-funded projects of innovative European technologies, including AI tools and advanced tracking technologies that enhance the protection of cultural goods. It will also provide an opportunity to discuss collaborative research and innovation in Europe and how research results can be more efficiently exploited.
