Fishers of the Future: Charting a Course for 2050

The European Commission is hosting the closing event of the Fishers of the Future Foresight Study on 14 January 2025 in Brussels. This EU-wide participatory study, launched in October 2023, was led by Tetra Tech and partners, covering 22 coastal Member States and outermost regions. The study aimed to explore the future of the fishing profession up to 2050, considering challenges like climate change and marine pollution. The event will share the study's results and includes presentations and panel discussions with key stakeholders.
