This week marks the launch of the new edition of the EIT Jumpstarter program, designed to support the most innovative entrepreneurial ideas across various sectors, from healthcare to raw materials. Prizes of up to €10,000 and support activities are available to help develop business models.
EIT Urban Mobility: Financial Support to Startups Open Call 2025
Promoted by the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT), the EIT Jumpstarter program aims to create a sustainable impact in Central, Eastern, and Southern Europe by stimulating innovation and entrepreneurship in these regions.
To address some gaps in the European innovation ecosystem by connecting research with entrepreneurship, the program involves six Knowledge and Innovation Communities (KICs) of the EIT: EIT Health, EIT RawMaterials, EIT Food, EIT InnoEnergy, EIT Manufacturing, and EIT Urban Mobility.
Alongside the initiative's governance, these six KICs annually launch the EIT Jumpstarter call to support highly innovative ideas developed mainly in strategic production sectors to enhance EU competitiveness. The initiative generally aims to foster collaboration between leading companies, universities, and research institutes in creating innovative products and services.
Now in its eighth edition, the EIT Jumpstarter has improved the skills of over 1,300 talents in entrepreneurship and helped create 124 startups, collectively raising nearly €150 million in external investments.
EIT Jumpstarter 2025 Call: Prizes up to €10,000
Specifically, the EIT Jumpstarter 2025 call offers a pre-acceleration path for innovators in the sectors of healthcare, agri-food, raw materials, energy, urban mobility, manufacturing, or in two specific areas: the new European Bauhaus and the reconstruction of Ukraine.
The seven-month program stimulates innovation and entrepreneurship in Central-Eastern and Southern European regions, validating innovative solutions and connecting them with industry demands.
Eligible participants include scientific teams, innovators, scientists, PhD students or graduates, entrepreneurs, and creatives interested in developing their entrepreneurial ideas with the support of the EIT network.
