
The European Climate, Infrastructure and Environment Executive Agency - CINEA indeed has the mission to support stakeholders in the implementation of the Green Deal, implementing parts of the EU funding programs related to transport, energy, and climate action, including the CEF Energy. This program, in addition to contributing to the development of trans-European energy networks, has also been financing cross-border renewable energy production projects since 2021, which involve cooperation between EU member states, but also between member states and non-EU countries.
The CEF Energy, in brief
The Connecting Europe Facility - CEF supports investments in infrastructure projects with cross-border effects and in interoperable systems and services at the European level, addresses market deficiencies, and helps mobilize additional investments from other sources, particularly from the private sector, in synergy and complementarity with InvestEU and other Union programs.
