RegisterAbout the ForumEvery year, Girls Go Circular - in collaboration with the European Commission, Directorate-General for Education, Youth, Sport and Culture DG EAC - organises the Women and Girls in STEM Forum. The third edition of the Forum will take place on Tuesday, 5 December 9.30-13.00 CET, livestreamed from Brussels. This annual event has become a platform for leading voices of students, teachers, mentors, policymakers, researchers and industry working towards a truly equal and inclusive future of Europe. Over the past two years, the Women and Girls in STEM Forum has attracted over 1 500 participants to identify key actions to bridge the gender gap in STEM and ICT, dismantle gender stereotypes and empower girls to pursue career dreams in science and technology.Girls and young women have a pivotal role in the event and inspire their peers and the audience, engaging in discussions on eliminating gender bias from STEM with EU policymakers, scientists, and entrepreneurs and sharing success stories to inspire the future EU action on these themes. The Women and Girls in STEM Forum also celebrates the participation of thousands of girls from 21 European countries in the Girls Go Circular project and offers them the opportunity to compete in a challenge and win a trip to Brussels to attend the Forum in person.Student ChallengeThe younger generation will be the one to embrace the challenge of closing the gender gap in STEM and push it forward. For the year's edition of the Women and Girls in STEM Forum, Girls Go Circular is inviting its female students and alumnae to work in teams of three and come up with a robot idea to solve an environmental issue of their choice in their school or their city. To showcase their idea, students are asked to develop a robot prototype and to present it in a 3-minute pitch video in English.One team per project country will be invited to Brussels to showcase their robot idea. The best three teams will get to participate in the Challenge Finale and to pitch their idea before an expert jury at the Women and Girls in STEM Forum.
