EU: CEF Telecom calls for proposals - 2020

CEF Telecom funding supports projects of common interest that improve the daily life of citizens, businesses and public administrations and contribute to the development of a Digital Single Market by deploying European digital infrastructures across the EU. On December 14th 2020, INEA published the results of the first 2020 CEF Telecom call for proposals. The stated overall objective of the CEF is to enhance the Trans-European Networks/infrastructure (both physical infrastructure and digital infrastructure). This will promote economic growth and supports the completion and functioning of the internal market in support of the competitiveness of the European economy. The CEF aims to improve the daily life of citizens, businesses (including SMEs) and administrations through the deployment of trans-European interoperable infrastructures based on mature technical and organisational solutions. CEF also aims to promote the deployment and modernisation of broadband networks and supporting wireless connectivity in local communities that underpin internet services by fostering the efficient flow of private and public investments.
