Call for Proposals for the creation of up to 30 Action Planning Networks under URBACT IV. The URBACT IV Programme is part of the European Territorial Cooperation Objective of the Structural Fund policies for the period 2021-2027. Update (April 6, 2023): First findings Goal URBACT’s mission is to enable cities to work together and develop integrated solutions to common urban challenges, by networking, learning from one another’s experiences, drawing lessons and identifying good practices to improve urban policies. To do so, Urbact has 3 different types of networks. One of these is the Action Planning Network that allows cities to work together to find solutions to common urban challenges and exchange about the opportunities of sustainable urban development. As a starting point, cities willing to get involved in Action Planning Networks shall identify a policy challenge they want to address at local level. Then, they shall commit to develop an Integrated Action Plan that will address this challenge. URBACT will not directly support implementation actions but aims to build the governance capacity of cities so they, in turn, can effectively implement sustainable urban development strategies under the different policy objectives of Cohesion Policy.
