The Directorate-General for Regional and Urban Policy (DG REGIO) of the European Commission aims to gather expressions of interest to implement the European project for the support of strategic public procurement (Support for Strategic Public Procurement project).
Strategic Public Procurement: What Does the European Project Entail?
The project aims to enhance the capabilities of managing authorities to systematically use strategic public procurement in projects funded by the European Cohesion Policy funds, thus contributing to the EU's growth and development objectives.
Specifically, the initiative targets authorities, intermediate and audit bodies involved in managing projects funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), the Cohesion Fund (CF), and the Just Transition Fund (JTF), so they can receive the necessary support to implement strategic public procurement among beneficiaries and stakeholders.
