In today’s world, multiple challenges, including geopolitical tensions, are impacting global supply chains. Disruptions in these supply chains, particularly in key sectors, carry significant economic and social costs for businesses, markets, and society as a whole.
However, not all companies are willing or able to absorb these costs when deciding how or whether to restructure their supply chains. The panel will explore important questions such as how to align private business goals with public interests, how companies can reduce risks and build resilience while staying competitive globally, and what public policy actions are needed to support these efforts.
