Right to Repair Stakeholder Workshop

The Directorate General for Justice and Consumers is organizing an online workshop to discuss the Directive promoting the repair of goods and the repair platform. The Directive, adopted on 13 June 2024, mandates repair obligations for manufacturers of certain goods and extends the legal guarantee period if consumers opt for repair over replacement. An EU online repair platform is to be operational by 31 July 2027.

The workshop will take place on Tuesday, 12 November 2024, from 14:00 to 16:00 (CET). It will include presentations by the Commission on the Directive and the development of the EU online repair platform, followed by Q&A sessions.

Registration is mandatory and closes on 5 November 2024 at 18:00 (CET). Stakeholders are encouraged to submit questions or points of interest during registration.

Target attendees include stakeholders interested in consumer goods repair, particularly associations, NGOs, companies, and professional associations in manufacturing, retail, and repair sectors.

Organized by the Directorate-General for Justice and Consumers, the workshop will be conducted in English.
