Brussels call for TEN-E energy infrastructure: focus on electricity and hydrogen

Photo by Markus Distelrath from PixabayThe European Commission has launched a call for applications for strategic energy infrastructure projects under the Trans-European Energy Network (TEN-E) regulation. 

­­­The TEN-E regulation (Trans-European Network for Energy) establishes the procedures and criteria for identifying projects of common interest and projects of mutual interest aimed at reducing emissions, promoting the integration of renewables and new green technologies into the Union's energy system.

In particular, the TEN-E aims to connect regions isolated from European energy markets, strengthen existing cross-border interconnections, promote cooperation with partner countries, and accelerate the permitting and authorization procedures for implementing cross-border infrastructure.
