Conference on Cooperatives as Drivers of Change

On 18 March 2025, the European Commission will hold a conference in Brussels, Belgium, focusing on cooperatives as key actors in boosting economic resilience and social cohesion in the European Union. This event is part of the 2025 International Year of Cooperatives, launched by the United Nations.

The conference will feature plenary sessions and workshops aimed at fostering dialogue among cooperatives' representatives, academics, and policymakers. Discussions will center on how the cooperative model can contribute to a more prosperous and sustainable economy in the EU.

Languages for the plenaries include English, French, and Spanish, while workshops will be conducted in English only. Participation is limited and based on acceptance, with notifications sent at least one month prior to the event.

Organized by the Directorate-General for Internal Market, Industry, Entrepreneurship and SMEs, the event will take place at La Vallée, Rue Adolphe LaValley 39, 1080 Brussels, Belgium.
