EU environment and climate action: what to expect from the LIFE programme in 2025

Horizon Europe: Call Biodiversa+ 2024

Launched in 1992, the European Union's flagship initiative for funding projects that improve the environment and climate supported 731 environmental projects with its first work programme (1992-1995). Given the success of the Programme, the budget has progressively increased, reaching 5.5 billion for LIFE 2021-2027.

But what does this Programme, which is one of the pillars of European initiatives to achieve the goals set by the Green Deal, consist of? And what are the funding opportunities for 2025?
