Clear language – necessity or luxury?

This workshop will discuss the meaning and use of clear and plain language in Latvia. It will explore what text authors and translators need to consider to ensure their texts are easily understood. The event will focus on the European Accessibility Act, Directive (EU) 2019/882, which will come into force next year, highlighting the importance of meeting accessibility requirements, including clear language. Experts from academia, public administration, and the finance and telecommunications sectors will share best practices.
