Clear language – necessity or luxury?
The workshop will discuss the meaning and use of clear and plain language in Latvia. It will focus on what text authors and translators need to consider to ensure their texts are easily understood. Special attention will be given to the European Accessibility Act, Directive (EU) 2019/882, which will come into force next year. This directive emphasizes the need for public and private organizations to meet accessibility requirements, including the use of clear language. Experts from academia, public administration, and the finance and telecommunications sectors will share best practices.
