Translation and Usability
Usability, or the ability for consumers to use items effectively, is central to the success of products and the companies that create them. Translation is a foundational component of creating usable products for global markets. Understanding the overlap between translation and usability allows individuals in both fields to play a greater role in product design and development. This understanding can also provide translators and usability professionals with new ways to display the value they can contribute to global organizations, which is crucial for job security and professional success in the modern marketplace.
The event will cover topics including the usability of translation, translation as a product, and translating for different types of target audiences. The event is closed for registration as it has reached maximum capacity for in-person participation. The morning session will be webstreamed without the need for registration.
