The assignment comprises works as part of an agricultural trade development project.

The Government of the Republic of Uganda has received a loan from the African Development Fund towards the cost of Markets and Agricultural Trade Improvement Programme.
It is intended that part of the proceeds of this loan will be applied to eligible payments under contracts for works.
The Ministry of Local Government invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the construction and completion of the markets in seven Municipalities:
- Entebbe
- Tororo
- Kasese
- Mbarara
- Soroti
- Arua

Bidding will be conducted in accordance with the African Development Bank's Rules and Procedures for Procurement of Goods and Works.
A complete set of bidding documents may be purchased by interested bidders upon the submission of a written application and upon payment of a non-refundable fee.
