The ADBI is collaborating with the Cambridge Centre for Alternative Finance and Cambridge Judge Business School Executive Education Limited to address the challenges faced by financial regulators in emerging economies due to rapid technological advancements. The course titled Supervisor of the Future: SupTech Frontiers aims to equip government policymakers, regulators, and financial authority officials from developing countries with the necessary skills to navigate the complexities of modern supervisory environments. As digital transformation reshapes market dynamics and introduces new business models, regulators often struggle with limited resources and outdated skills, making it difficult to create agile, adaptive, and resilient regulatory frameworks. The ADBI is offering scholarships to facilitate participation in this course, which has previously benefited numerous participants by enhancing their ability to design and implement effective financial regulations. The course will help participants develop a comprehensive understanding of the relationship between data, technology, and business models, assess risks associated with fintech and digital assets, and innovate supervisory processes. The target audience includes up to 35 officials from national ministries of finance, financial authorities, and macroeconomic regulatory bodies in developing member countries of the ADB, emphasizing the importance of integrating a digital-first mindset into their operations.
