The procurement notice refers to Automated Fare Collection (AFC) System procurement and support consultancy services.

Galati City Hall (Romania) has received for a loan from European Bank for Reconstruction and Development towards the cost of the Galati Urban Infrastructure Rehabilitation, that has an estimated total cost of EUR 26 million, including the VAT and other taxes duties.
This project has the following components:
- Rehabilitation of three main streets,
- Procurement of 14 trolley buses and Automated Fare Collection (AFC) System,
- Consultancy services for:
- works supervision
- local road sector commercialisation,
- AFC procurement,
- procurement and implementation,
- sustainable urban mobility plan.

Since all other contracts under the project have been awarded, EBRD issued a general procurement notice (GPN) refering only to the follwing contracts, which have not yet been tender out:
- AFC system procurement
- local road sector commercialization support consultancy services
Tendering for these two contracts is expected in the first quarter of 2017.
