With the aim of enriching the quantity, quality, and influence of EU affairs reporting across as many languages and Member States as feasible, this call is divided into two categories. An allocation of 8 million euros is designated for media outlets submitting proposals for the creation and airing of programs and reports on EU matters. Additionally, 3 million euros are set aside for proposals catering to news services in languages with limited coverage of EU affairs (which may include an international news service in Hungarian) and/or where the diversity of EU news content can be enhanced.

Candidates are required to generate and distribute audiovisual content through both traditional and innovative media formats and distribution channels. They are obligated to comply with European editorial guidelines, adopt a unified pan-European branding and outreach strategy, and promote exchanges of opinions and discussions on pivotal subjects impacting European citizens.
