Horizon Europe: two Built4People calls set to open in late 2024

They both fall under the umbrella of the Built4People (B4P) partnership, which aims to expedite innovative approaches centered on people for a sustainable constructed environment.

Their topic Destination, "Efficient, sustainable and inclusive energy use", addresses efforts directed towards reducing energy consumption, particularly through enhancing efficiency in buildings and industries. Per the Strategic Plan, the goal of this Destination is to ensure efficient and sustainable energy usage that is accessible to everyone, through a clean energy framework and an equitable transition.

This aim will be reached through technological and socio-economic advancements aimed at achieving climate neutrality, and by heightening energy efficiency within industries, diminishing greenhouse gas and air pollutant emissions. 

The first call: digital solutions for urban planning

Achieving a climate-neutral society necessitates ensuring that Europe's building infrastructure is both climate-resilient and climate-neutral. This requires an extensive approach that encompasses neighbourhoods or urban areas and involves various stakeholders, such as building users, property owners (both individual and collective), and energy communities who benefit from the entire developmental process.
