Strategic Energy Technology Plan Conference
The 18th SET Plan Conference is a high-level event organized under the patronage of the Hungarian Presidency of the Council of the EU in cooperation with the European Commission. It aims to provide a platform for policymakers, researchers, and industry stakeholders in the energy sector to establish connections and expand collaborations for developing and demonstrating innovative clean energy solutions.
This year's theme focuses on scaling up research, innovation, and competitiveness in clean energy technologies, emphasizing the need to reinforce the research and innovation landscape to enhance competitiveness and sovereignty of clean energy technology value chains within the EU.
The main goals of the conference include enhancing cooperation and synergies between national and European policies, facilitating collaboration within energy R&I, and gathering the most promising results of energy R&I.
The conference will be web streamed on Zoom, with sessions available in two rooms. Additionally, on the afternoon of 13 November, two side events will take place, including a workshop with the Secretariats of Implementation Working Groups and European Technology and Innovation Platforms, and a CETPartnership event focusing on crosscutting areas and funding opportunities.
The event will be held from Thursday, 14 November 2024, 09:00 to Friday, 15 November 2024, 17:00 in Budapest, Hungary.
