Conferences and summits: EU Arctic Forum and Indigenous Peoples’ Dialogue
The European Commission, in cooperation with the Municipality of Kittilä and the Regional Council of Lapland, will organize the EU Arctic Forum and Indigenous Peoples’ Dialogue in Kittilä, Finland, on 26-27 June 2025. The event will gather a broad range of Arctic stakeholders, including governments, international organizations, civil society, industry, research, indigenous and local communities, with a focus on youth perspectives.
The forum will assess recent developments in the Arctic, discuss challenges, achievements of the EU Arctic policy, and provide a strategic outlook for the future. The Indigenous Peoples’ Dialogue will focus on Arctic matters affecting Indigenous Peoples.
Keynote addresses and panel sessions will cover topics such as international cooperation, sustainable and inclusive economic development in the Arctic, human and societal matters, climate change challenges, Arctic partnerships, research, innovation, and Arctic knowledge.
The EU-Arctic Youth Dialogues, involving Arctic and European youth, will be an integral part of the program. The events will be held physically with web streaming available. Attendance is free, but registration for in-person participation is mandatory.
