Stakeholder Meeting on Ethanol Imports from Pakistan
The European Commission is organizing a stakeholder meeting to discuss the imports of ethanol products from Pakistan under Article 30 of the Generalised Scheme of Preferences Regulation (EU) 978/2012. The meeting aims to update stakeholders on the latest developments, exchange views, and collect feedback.
Context
According to Article 30 of the GSP Regulation, if imports cause or threaten to cause serious disturbance to Union markets, the Commission may suspend preferential arrangements. On 15 May 2024, a joint request was received from several EU Member States regarding ethanol from Pakistan.
