Partner meetings: Civil Society Dialogue on EU trade and investment relations with Sub-Saharan Africa

The European Commission is organizing a Civil Society Dialogue (CSD) on EU trade and investment relations with Sub-Saharan Africa. The meeting aims to discuss the latest developments in these relations and exchange views with participants. It will be held online via WEBEX on 20 November 2024, from 09:30 to 11:30 CET. Registration closes on 14 November at 12:00. The EU is the largest trading and investment partner of Sub-Saharan Africa, supported by six Economic Partnership Agreements (EPAs) with 15 countries. The most recent EPA with Kenya entered into force on 1 July 2024. Sustainable Investment Facilitation Agreements (SIFAs) are also being explored to improve investment climates for sustainable development. Key speakers include Maria Martin-Prat, Deputy Director-General, Directorate-General for Trade, European Commission.
