Conferences and summits: 6th meeting of the Platform 1210
As for the previous editions, the conference brings together participants from all main stakeholders involved in the implementation of Regulation (EU) No 1210/2010 of 15 December 2010 concerning authentication of euro coins and handling of euro coins unfit for circulation: Member States, European Commission, European Central Bank, Coin Processing Machine (CPM) companies and Cash in Transit (CIT) companies. The “PLATFORM 1210” represents a consolidated networking instrument for enhancing the implementation of Regulation (EU) No 1210/2010 by maintaining a close and transparent cooperation among stakeholders.
The “PLATFORM 1210” is implemented in the framework of the Pericles IV programme and in line with its strategy (Topical developments. Euro coins: Fight against high quality classes of counterfeits, implementation of Regulation (EU) No 1210/2010 and handling of euro coins unfit for circulation). It aims at enhancing a more efficient implementation of Regulation (EU) No 1210/2010 concerning authentication of euro coins and handling of euro coins unfit for circulation.
