Partner meetings: Civil Society Dialogue on the impact of EU FTAs on key environmental aspects, including climate
The European Commission is hosting a Civil Society Dialogue on the impact of EU Free Trade Agreements (FTAs) on key environmental aspects, including climate. The meeting will present the draft final report of the ex-post evaluation conducted by a consortium of consultants, including Ecorys Europe, the Institute of European Environmental Policy, and the Centre for European Policy Studies. The evaluation aims to assess how environmental and climate considerations are integrated into the implementation of bilateral EU FTAs, as requested in the 2021 Trade Policy Review.
The event will take place on Tuesday, 28 January 2025, from 11:00 to 13:00 CET at the Berlaymont building in Brussels, with live streaming available. Registration closes on Thursday, 23 January 2025, at 12:00. The meeting will feature a presentation by Dora Correia, Director at the Directorate-General for Trade, followed by an open discussion with stakeholders. It is a hybrid meeting, allowing both in-person and online participation.
