Civil society organisations registered in DG Trade and Economic Security's civil society database are invited to join a meeting presenting the draft Inception Report for the ex-post evaluation of the EU Japan Economic Partnership Agreement (EPA).

Purpose

The purpose of this meeting is to present the draft Inception Report drafted by the 'European Consortium for Trade Evaluations', ECFORTE (Trade Impact, European Institute of Japanese Studies (EIJS), Cambridge Econometrics and Sustainable Quality Consult).

The study aims to support the ex-post Evaluation of the EU-Japan Economic Partnership Agreement (EPA) after five years of application, to be prepared by the European Commission, which will assess the impact of the agreement in its economic, social, environmental, and human rights dimension.

The presentation of the draft report will be followed by an exchange on matters related to the study.

This is a hybrid meeting. We would be grateful if participants could arrive 30 minutes in advance. There will be a welcome desk in the security screening area of the Berlaymont building where IDs will be checked for security clearance and identification badges will be handed out.

WEBEX access code and password will be sent to registered participants. We would be grateful if participants could launch their WEBEX connection at least 30 minutes in advance of the meeting, so that any technical problems can be arranged in time before the meeting.
