EMN Finland Conference 2024

The European Migration Network (EMN) Finland Contact Point is hosting the 2024 National Conference to discuss the future of Ukrainian beneficiaries of temporary protection in Europe and Finland. The event will explore the challenges of integration for refugees caught between two countries and aims to foster dialogue among various stakeholders to support refugees in transitioning between integration and return.

The conference will feature presentations on the labor market integration of Ukrainian beneficiaries of temporary protection and the application of the Temporary Protection Directive, highlighting challenges and best practices from 2023. National and international experts, along with Ukrainians, will provide commentary on these reports.

The second half of the conference will include a panel discussion on how Finland and Europe can facilitate the transition of Ukrainians into permanent residents or assist those wishing to return to Ukraine for reconstruction efforts.

The event will take place on Wednesday, 27 November 2024, from 09:00 to 16:00 (EET) at Hotel Arthur, Finland, with live streaming available in Finnish and English.
