I3 Support Facility: a Hub supporting innovation in less developed regions

A new initiative is underway within the Interregional Innovation Investments Instrument (I3), the European funding tool that supports interregional investments in innovation: through the new I3 Support Facility, less developed regions can rely on a dedicated hub to strengthen institutional capacities and promote innovative projects within their respective smart specialization areas.

The I3 Support Facility project aims to help innovation stakeholders, particularly from less developed and outermost regions, to build robust interregional innovation ecosystems. The I3 Support Facility thus strengthens the objectives of the Interregional Innovation Investments (I3) tool, which, through 570 million from the ERDF 2021-2027 programming, promotes cooperation between European regions in innovation.
