The College of Commissioners officially approved the communication “A Green Deal Industrial Plan for the Net-Zero Age”, a document that outlines EU’s new priorities and guidelines to reach its climate targets, through some relevant novelties but also relying on the famous instruments that have already been implemented like RFF and REPowerEU, InvestEU, the Innovation Fund and of course the European Green Deal. The Plan will then be discussed during the Special European Council on the next 9 and 10 of February.
“Europe is determined to lead the clean tech revolution. For our companies and people, it means turning skills into quality jobs and innovation into mass production, thanks to a simpler and faster framework. Better access to finance will allow our key clean tech industries to scale up quickly”, commented Ursula von der Leyen, president of the European Commission while presenting the Plan on February 1st .
