ERA-NET Cofund initiative WaterWorks2015

The ERA-NET Cofund initiative WaterWorks2015, a collaboration of Water challenges for a changing world Joint Programming Initiative (WATER JPI) and Joint Programming Initiative Agriculture, Food Security and Climate Change (FACCE JPI), will set up a programme on sustainable water use in agriculture to increase water use efficiency and reduce soil and water pollution. This theme is common to the Strategic Research Agendas of the two collaborating JPIs.

Call 2016

The Call 10\6 will focus on “Sustainable management of water resources in agriculture, forestry and freshwater aquaculture sectors”, by:

  • increasing the efficiency and resilience of water uses;
  • monitoring and reducing soil and water pollution;
  • integrating social and economic dimensions into the sustainable management and governance of water resources.

Within each selected consortium (comprised by a minimum of three partners from three different participating countries), funding of the participating researchers will be provided by their respective national funding organisation according to their normal terms and conditions for project funding.

Proposals with duration of 24-36 months may be submitted by universities and other higher education institutions, public research institutions, private non-profit organisations, and private companies

The call budget is over 26 million of euros.

The call is expected to open on 16th February 2016 with a closing date for pre-proposals on 19th April 2016 and another closing date for full proposals on 15th September 2016.
