This brings the number of active calls from the European Innovation Council (EIC) to three, in line with the EIC's 2025 work program, which has a total budget of 1.4 billion euros for this year.
For the current year, the EIC will fund disruptive innovations across the entire TRL (Technology Readiness Levels) chain, leveraging the three traditional funding channels (EIC Pathfinder, EIC Transition, and EIC Accelerators), with the addition of the EIC STEP Scale Up Call, active until mid-December.
The EIC Pathfinder Open Call 2025
In this context, starting today, February 20, and until May 21, 2025, the "Open" (non-thematic) call of the Pathfinder program is active. This section of the EIC funds research projects to develop the scientific basis of breakthrough technologies, with TRL levels between 1 and 4.
