How to Secure All RRF Funds? Fitto and Dombrovskis Address the EU Parliament

During the 17th Recovery and Resilience Dialogue (RRD), the first since the new European Commission took office, Commissioners Fitto and Dombrovskis discussed with the European Parliament the options on the table to ensure the implementation of projects and the expenditure of all National Recovery and Resilience Plan funds.

Just over a year away from the June 30, 2026 deadline for the implementation of the Recovery and Resilience Facility (RRF), in a nearly two-hour debate with MEPs from the BUDGET and ECON Committees of the European Parliament, convened for the occasion, the two European commissioners sidestepped all questions regarding a possible extension of the National Recovery and Resilience Plans.

Executive Vice-President and Commissioner for Cohesion and Reforms, Raffaele Fitto, and Commissioner for Economy and Productivity, Valdis Dombrovskis, instead focused on possible solutions to implement the Plans within the scheduled time and ensure the expenditure of allocated resources.
