Horizon Europe: develop new technologies with the EIC Transition 2023 call
Provided by the European Innovation Council, the Transition call 2023 makes available about 68 million euros to fund innovation activities that go beyond experimental testing in the laboratory.
The EIC Transition is a new instrument of the European Innovation Council, which can count on a budget of 10 billion euros for the period 2021-2027.
What the EIC Transition Open 2023 is funding
As with the EIC Pathfinder and the EIC Accelerator, the EIC Transition presents two types of calls: one open to all sectors (Open) and the other intended for 'challenges' (Challenges) that refer to specific areas/topics.
The EIC Transition Open call is therefore multi-sectoral and funds projects that have already benefited from European funds, with the aim of supporting both the maturation and validation of new technologies - through testing, prototypes and models - and the development of the business model for the future commercialization of the innovati
