"Financing a sustainable and inclusive Europe" is the theme of this year's edition, which provides a unique opportunity to share and promote within the fi-compass community the best practices related to financial instruments co-financed by EU funds implemented throughout Europe.

Fi-compass 2023 showcase awards, how to participate

The fi-compass web portal is an advisory platform on financial instruments co-financed by European shared-management funds that offers a wide range of resources to support the work of member states, managing authorities, financial institutions, project managers and all stakeholders.

The tools provided by fi-compass to deepen knowledge of financial instruments and promote their dissemination range from publications, such as handbooks, fact sheets and case studies, to seminars and networking events, to podcasts and video content.

Participation in the fi-compass showcase 2023 is open to all stakeholders - MAs, intermediary bodies, fund-of-funds, financial intermediaries, final recipients - and success stories nominated for the competition can cover financial instruments under all European shared-management funds (ERDF, EAFRD, ESF+, FEAMPA, FAMI).

Submissions, this year on the theme "Financing a Sustainable and Inclusive Europe", can be submitted in English, or in a national language with English translation or subtitles, in one of the following forms:

  • A short video story (duration 1-7 minutes)
  • A photo story (3-10 images) accompanied by a short 300-word article
  • An infographic or poster.

Presentations can focus on the objectives of the financial instruments, the implementation process and/or the results achieved, making sure to describe one or more projects supported by the instrument to show the impact of the investment, while also gathering the views of the end recipients or other stakeholders involved.

The deadline to enter the competition by sending your application to [email protected] is January 31. Submissions will be posted gradually on the award page and fi-compass social channels and can be shared via other social networks with the tags @ficompass and #Showcase23.

Ten finalists will be selected by a panel of expert judges and will be eligible for the FI Campus 2023 event, scheduled for March 13-15 in Brussels, where attendees will vote on their favorite presentation and determine the three winners of the competition.
