Strategic Communications Training for Local Authorities
The Strategic Communications Training for Local Authorities will take place on March 6-7th in Malaga.
The training will provide a deep dive into how communication influences radicalisation processes and extremism dynamics and the role of strategic communication in mitigating extremism and fostering community resilience.
It will seek to equip participants with the knowledge and skills necessary to implement targeted, effective strategic communication campaigns that foster social cohesion and contribute to preventing radicalisation and (violent) extremism at the community level.
Participants will be supported to develop and implement effective P/CVE strategic communications. The training focuses on practical methods and tools, emphasizing audience engagement, crisis management, and connecting local actions to broader P/CVE strategies that aim to foster community resilience.
Specific Objectives
- Strengthening audience engagement: Equip participants with strategies to effectively engage diverse demographic groups, fostering trust and resilience within communities.
- Enhancing crisis communication skills: Introduce practical tools for managing communication during crises, ensuring public trust and effective response to (violent) extremism-related incidents.
- Fostering community resilience: Provide insights into developing narratives and campaigns that strengthen social cohesion and counter extremist messaging at the grassroots level.
