Description
The JRC in Geel is one of the six sites of the European Commission’s Joint Research Centre (JRC). It provides independent, evidence-based science for EU policies. When policymakers create laws that affect millions of Europeans, they need to be confident that these laws will really help people live better, safer, more secure, healthier, and more prosperous lives.
JRC scientists’ research is used to anticipate, conceive, develop, implement, and evaluate EU policies. Ultimately, the JRC is putting science at the heart of European policies, building trust and a brighter future for all.
