Description
The Forum will gather local and Team Europe partners, including EU representatives, Member States organizations, financing institutions, and the European private sector.
The forum will create a platform for dialogue with the objective of generating partnerships and formulating a common approach to investing in circular economy infrastructure and value chains in the Motagua river basin.
The Motagua River in Guatemala is a 486 km long river with an entire basin flowing into the Gulf of Honduras and, ultimately, the Caribbean Sea. It is one of the most plastic-emitting rivers in the world, contributing around 2% of global plastic pollution into oceans.
The Forum represents an attempt to mitigate this critical environmental and public health crisis by exploring investment and collaboration opportunities with a view to create strategic value chains and the integration of sustainable solutions.
With Europe’s competitive and innovative circular industry, we invite companies to be part of this initiative and express their interest in participating in the forum to pitch their solutions in Guatemala.
