Partner meetings: 2025 EU-Canada CETA Civil Society Forum
7th EU-Canada Civil Society Forum
The EU-Canada Civil Society Forum under the Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA) invites representatives from employers, unions, labour and business organisations, environmental groups, indigenous organisations, and other interested civil society organisations to participate in a meeting on 18-19 March 2025.
This forum will focus on the implementation of CETA’s Chapter 22 (Trade and Sustainable Development), Chapter 23 (Trade and Labour), and Chapter 24 (Trade and Environment), as well as the CETA recommendations on Trade and Gender, SMEs and Trade, Climate Action, and the Paris Agreement.
The Civil Society Forum will be organised in a hybrid format, allowing for both virtual and in-person participation. Canada and the European Union are committed to this dialogue, providing an important opportunity for civil society to understand the implementation of the labour, environment, and sustainable development provisions of CETA, and to share their perspectives on these issues.
