Youth Policy Dialogue with Commissioner Dan Jørgensen
Shaping a clean, sustainable and fair energy future is the focus of the first Youth Policy Dialogue on energy, which is part of the European Commission’s ongoing commitment to involving the younger generation in shaping a competitive, clean, and fair energy transition.
The Commissioner for Energy and Housing, Dan Jørgensen, will meet 30 young people in Brussels to discuss a series of energy topics relevant to youth and energy policy making, such as:
- The just energy transition
- Renewable energy
- Energy infrastructure
- Skills
- Energy financing
- Integration of the electricity market
The group of participants will bring diverse perspectives from across Europe, including members of networks such as the Young Energy Ambassadors, European Youth Energy Network, and Climate Pact Ambassadors.
The outcomes of the Youth Policy Dialogue will feed into the Commission’s policymaking on energy, ensuring that the views and contributions of young people are taken into account. The preparations and follow-up of the dialogue will involve experts on the various topics, helping to ensure the discussion is informed and outcomes are actionable.
