About the Conference

The European Commission (EC), Directorate-General for Agriculture and Rural Development (DG AGRI), and the European Investment Bank (EIB) are organizing the '10th annual EU conference on EAFRD financial instruments'. The event will take place on Thursday, 28 November 2024, in Madrid, Spain, with a networking dinner on the evening prior, Wednesday, 27 November 2024.

The conference will feature interventions from key figures such as Mihail Dumitru, Deputy Director-General of DG AGRI, Gelsomina Vigliotti, Vice-President of the EIB, Luis Planas, Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food of Spain, and José Manuel Fernandes, Minister of Agriculture and Fisheries of Portugal.

Key topics include financing the green transition, managing climate risks, and ensuring resilience in agriculture and agri-food sectors. Speakers will include representatives from EU Member States, COPA-COGECA, CEJA, EIB Group experts, and major EU banks.

The conference targets managing authorities, experts, farm unions’ representatives, and officials from the European Investment Bank Group and European Commission interested in EAFRD financial instruments.

Registration for the event is closed. The main language will be English, with interpretation available in French, German, Italian, and Spanish.
