Evaluating Human Performance and Licensee Safety Culture
The European Commission's Joint Research Centre (JRC) is hosting a webinar focused on human performance and its relationship with organizational safety culture. This event is organized in collaboration with Enconet Consulting and aims to teach participants how to enhance human performance by identifying human factor issues and improving safety culture within organizations.
Registration
Registration for the webinar is open from 6 November to 27 November 2024. Participants will receive connection details and other necessary information from Enconet Consulting after registration. Note that registrations cannot be processed via email and must be completed online.
Event Details
The webinar will take place from Monday, 9 December 2024, 12:30 to Friday, 13 December 2024, 17:00 (CET). It will be conducted in English and is free of charge. The maximum number of participants is limited to 50, and seats are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
Description
Human performance is a critical factor in the safe and reliable operation of nuclear power plants, influenced by the prevailing safety culture. The webinar will cover topics such as human performance enhancement, error drivers, leadership attributes, and the importance of safety culture in nuclear power plants. It will also address challenges in regulating safety culture and qualitative assessment methods.
Organisation
The webinar is part of the European Clearinghouse project, administered by the JRC in Petten, Netherlands, and delivered by Enconet Consulting, Vienna, Austria. Participants will receive a certificate of attendance upon completion.
Lecturers
Dorian S. Conger, an expert in incident investigation and safety culture, and Maria Josefa Esteban Fernandez, a senior nuclear expert, will lead the training.
