Training and workshops: Framework of reference for T&I training
The translation market is multifaceted, with evolving needs, and research is crucial for understanding its evolution. Technology significantly impacts translation services, but human intelligence, knowledge, and skills remain key for quality translations. Training future translators is essential to equip them with necessary linguistic, critical, and ethical competences. This Translating Europe Workshop focuses on training and research from a European perspective, exploring the EMT Competence Framework, translation theory, teacher-training, and ongoing projects like DOTTSS and EFFORT.
The event will take place on Friday, 14 March 2025, from 17:00 to 19:30 (CET) at Universidad Complutense de Madrid, Spain. It is part of the Translating Europe Workshops and is aimed at academia and students, with sessions conducted in Spanish and English.
