Training and workshops: Investors Dialogues on Energy webinar: Strategic Energy Technology Plan

The European Strategic Energy Technology Plan (SET Plan) is a crucial initiative to advance the transition towards a climate-neutral energy system by developing low-carbon technologies efficiently. Established in 2007 and integrated into the energy union in 2015, it is a key component of the energy union's 5th pillar on research, innovation, and competitiveness. The recent revision of the SET Plan, adopted in October 2023, aligns its strategic objectives with the European Green Deal, REPowerEU, and the Green Deal Industrial Plan, including the Net-Zero Industry Act. This revision aims to support strategic net-zero energy technologies and foster a sustainable and resilient energy future.

The webinar will feature experts from the European Commission (DG ENER, DG RTD, and JRC) who will discuss the SET Plan's objectives, implementation Working Groups (IWGs), European Technology and Innovation Platforms (ETIPs), cross-cutting task forces, and financing instruments. The Investors Dialogue on Energy (ID-E) is a platform that unites energy and finance sector experts across the EU to enhance financing schemes in line with the European Green Deal and REPowerEU.
