The European green bond standard is a new tool aimed at creating a gold standard for green bonds to support financing for the low-carbon transition. The standard will be available to issuers from 21 December 2024 and relies on the EU taxonomy to define green economic activities. The European Commission is organizing a technical workshop for stakeholders to raise awareness and support the application of this standard. The event will be held online on 22 October 2024, from 09:30 to 12:30 (CEST), and will include discussions on legal and practical issues related to the new standard.
