There is time until the end of May to participate in the European Commission's consultation on critical raw materials, which aims to gather input from stakeholders on how to improve the supply and recycling of these elements, also through industrial cooperation in the sector.

As explained by the Executive Vice President for the European Green Deal, Teresa Ribera, “the clean, fair, and competitive transition is based on critical raw materials.” For this reason, the European Commission has launched a public consultation to “listen to the European industry and beyond regarding access through the recycling of these materials” to build, together, “sustainable supply chains and turn challenges into opportunities for prosperity, innovation, and resilience.”

The EU Consultation on Industrial Cooperation in Critical Raw Materials

Launched at the end of March and active until May 31, 2025, the European consultation on critical raw materials aims to gather feedback from market operators on how European companies source and recycle certain critical raw materials and their interaction with EU competition rules.
