Announced by the President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen during the AI Action Summit in February and officially launched today, the AI Continent Action Plan is a comprehensive strategy aimed at transforming the European industrial supply chain and the Union's talent pool into powerful elements of innovation in the field of artificial intelligence.

"The global race for AI is far from over," said Henna Virkkunen, Executive Vice President for technological sovereignty, security, and democracy, describing the AI Continent Action Plan as a strategy that "outlines the key sectors where efforts need to be intensified to make Europe a leading continent in the AI sector.
