Water Financing Partnership Facility: a new guide in the Water Sector Framework until 2030

The aim is to consider water security challenges through a lens of strategic foresight to embank future aftermaths caused by water demand in agriculture, cities, and industries, but also water-related natural disasters.

ADB calls for more investments to address water security and resilience in Asia and Pacific

The Asian Development Bank’s (ADB’s) Asian Water Development Outlook 2020 reports that water security is gradually improving in the region. However, according to the WHO and UNICEF, millions of people are still lacking of access to basic water supplies and sanitation. Demand for water is increasing across the region and water-related disasters are prevalent in the region causing casualties and homeless. Considering this initial situation, planning processes need to consider water security challenges through a lens of strategic foresight.
