The CRPP is a collaborative initiative designed to assist nations and communities in Asia and the Pacific region in increasing investments on climate adaptation, poverty, and gender. In this latter case, it allocates funds specifically for supporting investments that focus on women's needs and priorities. The implementation of the CRPP is carried out via the Community Resilience Financing Partnership Facility (CRFPF). This involves a multi-donor trust fund managed by ADB and backed by the Green Climate Fund, the Government of the United Kingdom, the Nordic Development Fund, and the French Development Agency.

The 2024 edition of the forum aims to provide insights into tangible approaches for designing and implementing such programs. These approaches are intended to effectively respond to current and future climate risks, tackle the root causes of vulnerability, and empower communities, particularly women. The discourse on these themes will also be interconnected with the discussions held during the CRPP Partnership Forum in 2023, which delved into adaptive social protection and the development of climate-resilient rural livelihoods.

The yearly CRPP Partnership Forum assembles community leaders, government officials, think tanks, financial institutions, and global climate funds. The purpose of this gathering is to explore the potential role of poverty reduction programs in fortifying climate resilience.
