The 2025 calls of the Partnership for Research and Innovation in the Mediterranean Area (PRIMA) are officially open to support research and innovation activities on water resource management, agricultural systems, and the agri-food value chain in Mediterranean countries.

Specifically, the new calls for proposals within the framework of the Partnership for Research and Innovation in the Mediterranean Area (PRIMA) aim to support a range of initiatives that promote sustainable resource management, strengthen the resilience of Mediterranean ecosystems, and develop innovative, locally adapted solutions for the agri-food and water sectors.

What is the Partnership for Research and Innovation in the Mediterranean (PRIMA)?

The Partnership for Research and Innovation in the Mediterranean Sea (PRIMA) is a joint research and innovation initiative in the water and agri-food sector, involving 19 countries, including 11 EU member states (Cyprus, Croatia, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Luxembourg, Malta, Portugal, Slovenia, Spain) and 8 non-EU countries (Algeria, Egypt, Jordan, Israel, Lebanon, Morocco, Tunisia, and Turkey) from the Mediterranean basin.
